Chopsticks are a pair of equal bars, can be made of bamboo or wood, stainless steel or plastic, about 20-25cm in length, used by East Asian countries as eating utensils.

 
In the Vietnamese’s meal, there are soft rice grains, fishes,... so chopsticks are the right choice to pick up food conveniently.
 
Each region in Vietnam has a different culture, but the common point is that they all use chopsticks. In the North, there are bamboo ramparts covered by the village, so people use old bamboo sticks to peel chopsticks, the South is mainly coconut trees, so they should use coconut chopsticks. However, the most common are still bamboo chopsticks, wooden chopsticks. In the past, farmers sharpened their chopsticks into square bars, one end was rounded to make it easier to pick up food.
